It is best to desalt the anchovies under running water for a few seconds before use. - What is the difference between alici and acciughe?
None: alici and acciughe are the same fish (Engraulis Encrasicolus). In Italy, the term alici is used mainly for the fresh product or the one preserved in oil, while acciughe more often refers to the salted or preserved version. - Where do they come from?
