Servizio assistenza clienti incredibilmente veloce e disponibile.

Good to know

Description

Moro oranges are a typical variety of red oranges, among the best loved for their colour and aromatic intensity. Originally from the Lentini area, in the province of Syracuse, they stand out for their ruby-red flesh, juicy and fragrant, and for their orange skin with red streaks that anticipate the richness of the flavour.

The intense colour comes from the presence of anthocyanins, powerful natural antioxidants that develop thanks to the temperature swings between day and night typical of the soils on the slopes of Etna. These substances, as well as giving the flesh its vivid shade, give Sicilian Moro oranges important health benefits.

Compared with other varieties of red oranges, such as Tarocco or Sanguinello, the Moro orange, which has a smaller size, has a bolder taste and a stronger fragrance: a little gem with a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity.

Every fruit is picked by hand in winter and packed with no post-harvest treatments, to keep freshness, colour and nutritional properties intact.
