Appearance and shape: large fruit, about 90 mm, with a thin, smooth skin of intense orange colour.

The Tarocco Tardivo extra size oranges are harvested between March and April, the period in which the fruit reaches full ripeness and maximum pigmentation.

Tarocco Tardivo Extra Size oranges are an excellence of the Sicilian citrus-growing tradition. Grown in the countryside of the Catania plain, at the foot of Etna, they stand out for their oval shape, their pigmented red flesh and the extraordinary sweetness of the juice.
The Tarocco Tardivo variety is one of the most appreciated among the red oranges thanks to its perfect balance between aroma and acidity. The temperature swings typical of the Etna area favour the development of anthocyanins, the natural pigments that give the flesh its characteristic red colouring and powerful antioxidant properties.
For our Tarocco oranges every fruit is selected by hand, choosing only the largest, perfectly ripe oranges. The result is a Tarocco orange of the highest quality, ideal for juices, eating fresh and typical recipes of the Sicilian tradition.
